In September, a team of GlynnDevins associates took their talents to Chicago to participate in SMASH 2016.
With a focus on technology, and how it influences senior living marketing, SMASH attracts some of the field’s top decision-makers each year. A range of workshops, presentations and speed meetings offered participants a unique opportunity to share ideas, ask questions and learn from some of the brightest minds in the field.
GlynnDevins had the privilege of introducing the conference’s keynote speaker, Susan Reilly Salgado, Ph.D., from Hospitality Quotient, and leading two roundtable discussions.
The first session, Transforming Senior Living Sales Counselors into Inbound Marketing Believers, was led by Brandi Towns, director of content strategy, reputation & social, and Sarah Dodge, director of marketing automation strategy. It focused on inbound marketing and how sales professionals can convert more sales teams.
The second session, Customer Experience (CX) Across All Channels, was led by Janel Wait, senior vice president of channel & content planning, and Carrie Peterson, director of digital user experience & process. It focused on the importance of more consumer-centric marketing plans, and explored different ways communities are promoting their brands to rise above the rest.
Wait said some key topics and themes from the conference included marketing automation, CRM, digital initiatives to drive traffic, and sales and marketing in today’s world. She added the team felt it was a successful few days, and enjoyed the opportunity to network with an enthusiastic group of like-minded professionals.
